Varicose Veins:
Varicose Veins is a condition in which the veins enlarge, thicken or dilate. It can occur in any part of the body, but appears generally on the legs. It is more common in women. Sluggish circulation of blood is the main cause. Wearing tight clothing, lack of exercise, standing for long periods, pregnancy, obesity, constipation, smoking and dietetic errors promote sluggish circulation.
Natural Cures:
- The patient should be put on juice fast for 5 days. Warm water enema should be administered. Then adhere to a restricted diet. Avoid bread, potatoes and starchy foods.
- Breakfast – Oranges and lemon juice.
- Mid-day meal – raw salad with olive oil and lemon juice dressing.
- Evening – steamed vegetables, figs or dates.
- Then gradually switch to a well-balanced diet.
- Carrot juice in combination with spinach juice is highly beneficial in the treatment of Varicose Veins. Mix 300 milliliters carrot juice with 200 milliliters spinach juice before consumption.
- Vitamin C and Vitamin E relieve pain and leg cramps associated with varicose veins. The patient should take 3,000 milligrams of Vitamin C and 600 International Units of Vitamin E daily.
- Alternate hot and cold hip bath is very valuable for the treatment of varicose veins. Cold packs should be applied to affected parts.
- A mudpack maybe applied at night and removed in the morning.
- Hot Epsom bath twice a week is extremely beneficial.
